Dan Deacon – Snookered

Bromst album art

Ben walked into my room when I was listening to this band and said it sounds like someone slamming their head on an organ. Basically, Dan Deacon just pushes down on the gas harder and harder until he reaches top speed, and then he’s off the cliff, Thelma and Louise style. Good development in his music, and I love me some good development.

Grizzly Bear – Two Weeks
Album: Veckatimest

I’m pretty excited about Grizzly Bear’s new album coming out in late May. This song will be part of it along with another single they’re promoting, “Cheerleader.” The band is from Brooklyn and one of the members, Daniel Rossen, is also in the Department of Eagles. I recommend listening to their previous stuff if you haven’t heard it.

White Rabbits – Percussion Gun

White Rabbits – Percussion Gun
Album: It’s Frightening

White Rabbits is a band from Brooklyn who currently has one album out called Fort Nightly. They had a single off that album that was popular last spring / summer called Kid On My Shoulders, which I loved but found repetitive. I have none of those reservations about this song. Their next album, It’s Frightening, is due out in May. I’ll definitely be keeping it on my watch list.

Welcome to Rock And Rowe!

Welcome to the new RockAndRowe.com! We’ve finally finishing bringing over our posts from their prior home at HuffDuffer.com. Unfortunately, we can’t include all those back posts in the podcasts, but be sure to stay current as we go forward!  If you want to listen to those songs there’s a music player on the bottom left that you can use to play through the entire page of songs.

I strongly recommend you subscribe to the podcast on the right! Also, you should vote on songs you like or hate on the left. We’ll try to post a new song every weekday.

Thanks for checking out the site!  Let me or Lucas know on Facebook what you think!
